Postmortem

We wanted to update you on the service slowdown some of you experienced earlier today.

What happened:

We deployed an update intended to improve how our system handles multiple user requests at the same time. Unfortunately, this change caused our database to process far more requests simultaneously than anticipated. This created a bottleneck that slowed down the entire system.

What we did:

Once we identified the issue, we immediately rolled back the update. Service returned to normal performance within minutes of the rollback.
